Social media users can't fathom why Barcelona's 16-year-old wonderkid Ansu Fati has been included in the final 20-man shortlist for the 2019 Golden Boy award.

The prize, which is distributed by Italian newspaper Tuttosport, rewards the most impressive player under the age of 21 playing in a European top tier in each calendar year.

Fati who is eligible to represent Spain internationally made his way into the final list following his breakthrough into the Barca first-team squad.

He has played 6 matches, scored 2 goals and an assist for Barcelona in all competitions.

Here's the 20-man shortlist for 2019's award:

Another added: "How did Ansu Fati make this list? He wasn't in 40-man shortlist."
