Vital Club cycling sensation , Abdul Razak Abdul Mumin has emerged as the new cycling champion after winning the national championship in Sunyani on Saturday.
 The cyclist dethroned Emmanuel Sackey to become the best cyclist in the country after exhibiting an impressive stint of riding power to blast off to victory in the individual time trial showdown with a personal best time build up of one hour nine minutes 46 seconds.

Abdul finished ahead  of Anthony Boakye of River Park Brong Ahafo and Club Sky's Isaac Sackey who settled for  the second and third positions respectively after a difficult 42 km ride.

In the Junior division, Solomon Tagoe of Gutten Cycling club clocked a time of 47mins in a distance of 28km to outclass close rival Gabriel Tettey of River Park Eastern with the latter making up a time of 48mins 37 secs to second spot.Â

The duo have registered their justification and intent to make Ghana proud at this year's Commonwealth Youth Games slated for Bahamas next month.Stephen Ali from River Park Eastern provided a best time of 50 mins to place third.

In the women's category, Erica Sedzro proved her experiencial mettle by becoming the new Women's National Elite champion with a time of 1hr 05mins 45secs in a distance of 28km.

Adombire Sylvia Asibi came second in 1hr 10mins 51secs with debutant  Clementina Ayoung coming through with her maiden performance best  of 1hr 18mins 05 secs.

Defending champion Emmanuel Sackey was not perturbed about the loss of his title, he is confident of a bounce back to reclaim the enviable title.
