Hagan Frimpong and Frederick Asante scored two first half goals for Accra Lions to condemn Real Tamale United to 2-1 defeat in their matchday 10 Ghana Premier League fixture at the WAFA Park on Monday.
Accra Lions came off a 2-0 loss to Hearts of Oak on Match Day 9 at the Cape Coast stadium – adding to a three match winless run. Lions made two changes to the side that lost to Hearts of Oak as Abass Samari Salifu and Frederick Asante got the nod to start ahead of Rauf Salifu and Abdul Rashid Abubakar.
Real Tamale United went into the game without livewire David Abagna Sandan who is on national duty with the Black Stars and was replaced by Stephen Badu Dankwa.

Accra Lions took the lead in the 27th minute through Hagan Frimpong who connected a cross from Abdul Fatawu Hamidu.
Frederick Asante scored the second of the game for the home side in the 43rd minute while Mohammed Sadat got the consolation for the Pride of the North – one minute into the second half.
Accra Lions held on to claim their third win of the season to move to the 12th place in the standings with 11 points - three places below Real Tamale United who are in 8th place with 14 points.
