The Accra Sports Stadium is set to undergo a two-week renovation works, the National Sports Authority (NSA) have announced.
According to the NSA, the renovation works at the facility will start on December 18 and end on 26.
In view of this, the NSA have ordered the Ghana Football Association to postpone the Premier League games to be held at the venue on the said dates, their statement indicated the closure is to enable the NSA and Ministry of Youth and Sports to have enough and uninterrupted time to fix critical places of the stadium.
The planned repair works mean the FA must either find an alternative venue or postpone some of the games scheduled for the Stadium.

The decision by the NSA will further put a strain on organizers of the league who have already been forced to postpone the Hearts vs Kotoko clash due to the travel schedule of the Phobians who are playing in the CAF Confederation Cup.
The NSA and the Sports Ministry closed down the Baba Yara Stadium for almost two years to renovate works, forcing Asante Kotoko to play last season’s Ghana League away from home.
