Veteran sports broadcaster Christopher Opoku has been reported dead.
Chris, as he was affectionately called had been had been battling cancer of the rectum and has been off TV screens for quite some time now.
It is not quite clear if his death was caused by the ailment but moments after information of his death became public, many fans took to social media to pay tribute to the veteran who was the leading English football commentator in the country at the peak of his career.
He had spells as a presenter with Kumasi-based Luv FM before he moved to Accra to join Metro TV and was also a regular of GTV.
