The Black Stars will open camp for the AFCON 2025 qualifiers doubleheader against Sudan today, Monday, October 7, in Accra.
Head coach of the team, Otto Addo has handed call-up to 25 players for the crucial games. The likes of Thomas Partey, Mohammed Kudus, Jordan Ayew, Mohammed Salisu and so on have been invited.
Notable inclusions are Gideon Mensah, Ernest Nuamah, Alexander Djiku and Ibrahim Sulemana who make a return to the squad after recovering from injury setbacks that kept them out of last month’s qualifiers against Angola and Niger.
Isaac Afful of Samartex has also been drafted into the team after an impressive performance in the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League and the ongoing Premier League.
Players invited by Otto Addo are scheduled to arrive at the Alisa Hotel in Accra on Monday, October 7, with reporting time set for morning.
A full house is expected by the close of Tuesday, October 8. The team will conduct their first training session on Monday at a venue yet to be disclosed

Ghana will first host Sudan at the Accra Sports Stadium on Thursday, October 10, before traveling to Libya for the reverse fixture at Benina, Libya on Tuesday, October 15.
The four-time African champions currently sit in third place in Group F with a point. Angola occupy top spot with 6 points, Sudan sit in second place with 3 points and Niger lie bottom with a point.
