Alvaro Morata's future at Chelsea continues to be a talking point in Italian media.
Italian website Calciomercato claims AC Milan were interested in taking Morata from Real Madrid before he moved to Chelsea, but the opportunity was spurned by the Spaniard.
There was allegedly a 'promise' on Morata's part to join them but the managerial change at Stamford Bridge caused a change in his thinking. Antonio Conte was replaced in July by Maurizio Sarri, but things haven’t improved a lot for Morata.
Morata has six goals in 17 matches played in all competitions and is reportedly unhappy in London. If the situation doesn't improve by next summer, Chelsea might be forced to cash in on the striker, but he should hang tight until then.
