West Ham United manager David Moyes has revealed that Ghanaian player Andre Ayew made a return to Swansea City in the January transfer window because he did not want to stay at the Club anymore.
Having become West Ham United most expensive player during his move from Swansea City, Andre could not live up to his own expectations and that of the price tag as a host of injuries troubled his stay at the London Stadium.
West Ham United manager David Moyes has disclosed that despite the staff not being too keen to lose a player to their competitors, Andre Ayew wanted to leave.
“The players know we dropped well below where we’ve been but, overall, they have been good,†David Moyes wrote in the Evening Standard.
“Andre Ayew did well enough for Swansea but don’t forget that he didn’t want to stay,"
"At the time we weren’t that keen to lose anyone to our competitors but he made it 100 percent clear he did not want to be at West Ham any longer.â€
