Marko Arnautovic has become West Ham's record signing after completing a deal worth £24m from Stoke City to break Andre Ayew's £20m deal last season.
Arnautovic is expected to have his medicals with West Ham on Thursday after an agreement was reached between the two clubs on Tuesday.
The Hammers had already seen two bids rejected but Stoke eventually accepted the fee which makes the player a record signing.
Arnautovic, 28, joined Stoke from Werder Bremen four years ago and is just 12 months into a four-year contract with the Potters.
He scored seven times in 35 games in all competitions last season. West Ham signed Manchester City and England goalkeeper Joe Hart on a season-long loan deal on Tuesday.
Andre Ayew after the record signing began the season on a very slow note following an injury in his first game against Chelsea but came back strongly to assist the team in the second half of the season.
He would be hoping to have an explosive start of next season with Arnautovic to play with.
