Black Stars Skipper Asamoah Gyan in a tweet has asked to be called 'His Honour Dr. Asamoah Gyan' after being awarded a doctorate degree by the Alfred Noble University in Ukraine.
The ceremony was held at the Faculty of Law of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Kumasi to reward Gyan for his excellence in football and his philanthropic activities.
“By the Grace of God I was awarded Honorary Doctorate Degree…with all humility, respectfully call me His Honour Dr. Asamoah Gyan,†he tweeted.

Gyan is Ghana's all time leading top scorer with 51 goals and Africa's all time top scorer at the World Cup with 6 goals.
He has signed a 2-year contract with Turkish Club Kayserispor after ending his time with Chinese side Shanghai SIPG where he was among the top ten highest paid footballers in the World.
