Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan, has reportedly agreed to take a 60% pay cut at Turkish Super Lig side Kayserispor in other to stay at the club.
Gyan who had a terrible season with Kayserispor due to series of injuries was told to review his contractual terms.
Kayserispor Club President Erol Bedir, has revealed last month that, he will only keep Asamoah Gyan and Portuguese winger Silvestre Varela for next season if they will change their deals to performance-based due to their injuries.
Asamoah Gyan made only 12 appearances for Kayserispor in the league and scored a single goal.
''Asamoah Gyan was unlucky with injuries or other technical reasons did not get the chance to play regularly and contribute to the team,'' Kayserispor's sporting director Erol Bedir said in an interview.
''Our contract, which is 1 + 1-year contract, continues as it was in the year when the contract and economic conditions passed.
''So regardless of his performance, there is a guaranteed price to be awarded in this year, as in the case of other players.
''He signed a new contract with his own volition and willingness to send a club.''
