Congolese side TP Mazembe have opted against extending the contract of Ghana International Solomon Asante.
The 27 year old joined the five time CAF Champions League winners in 2013 from Ghana Premier League side Berekum Chelsea.

This new development means Asante will not start the 2017/2018 Congolese Premier League season with Mazembe.
He was part of a hugely successful Mazembe side which won the CAF Champions league (2015), CAF Confederation Cup (2016), 2 Congolese league titles, and a CAF Super Cup title in 2016.
Asante becomes the second Ghanaian to be released by the Congolese side after they earlier release former Hearts of Lions midfielder Gladson Awako who now plies his trade in the USA.
Former Kotoko players Yaw Frimpong and Daniel Nii Adjei are set to start the new campaign with Les Corbeaux.
