Dreams FC have announced the transfer of 18-year-old winger Abdul Aziz Issah to FC Barcelona.

The move was completed on transfer deadline day, marking a significant achievement for both the player and the club.

Issah has been one of the standout young talents in African football, recognized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) as a top emerging player.

Last season, he made a name for himself with his impressive performances in the CAF Confederation Cup. In that tournament, Issah scored four goals and provided two assists in just ten matches, playing a crucial role in Dreams FC’s historic run to the semi-finals.

In the Ghana Premier League, Issah was a vital player for Dreams FC. He contributed to 17 goals, scoring seven and assisting ten, showing his ability to both find the net and set up his teammates.

His talent was also evident in the FA Cup, where he scored four goals in five games, proving his consistency across different competitions. Internationally, Issah was a key figure in Ghana’s U20 team, helping them win gold at the Africa Games. His performances at this level only added to his growing reputation.

Issah’s journey with Dreams FC began at a young age, progressing through the club’s youth ranks and spending time at Still Believe and In God We Trust FC.

His development at these clubs prepared him for his eventual rise to the first team in 2022. His move to Barcelona is a significant step not just for him but also for Dreams FC, as it is the first time a player from the club has joined a top European team.

At Barcelona, Issah is expected to start with Barça Athletic, the club’s reserve team in the Primera Federación – Group 1, which is Spain’s third tier.

However, if he impresses, there could be opportunities for him to join the first team under manager Hansi Flick. Issah is the second Ghanaian player to join Barcelona this summer, following the signing of left-back David Oduro.
