Coach of Obuasi-based Ashanti Gold Sporting Club, Bashir Hayford has resigned from his position.

This season has not been a very good one for the Obuasi club which is second from bottom with 7 points after eight games.

The situation has led the club's CEO, Cudjoe Fianoo to hand the technical team a 7-point target in the club’s next three league games.

But in a resignation letter to Mr Fianoo primenewsghana has sighted, Coach has decided that "the best honorable thing is to resign honorably without any prejudice".

According to him, "it does not take the frog too long a time to jump out from boiling water".

"Gone but not missing", he concluded.

Coach Bash, as he is commonly referred to, won five trophies including the 20142015 Ghana Premier League title during his time in Obuasi.
