Ghana's female senior national team the Black Queens of Ghana lost their opening game at the WAFU Women's Championship 1-0 to host Ivory Coast.
The Queens who have been in the neighbouring country for days now were expected to at least get a point in the opening game but lost.
The game was played at the Champroux Stadium at Marcoury province today Wednesday, February 14.
A second-half strike by the Ivorians was enough to gift them all three points.
The senior women's national team will face Burkina Faso, Niger in subsequent group games.

Ghana is using the tournament match as part of its preparations for the 2018 African Women’s Nations Cup tournament as competition hosts.
