Ghana forward Jerry Afriyie was named Best Player of the 2024 WAFU B U-20 Championship after the Black Satellites finished in second position behind Nigeria in Togo on Wednesday, October 30, 2024.
The youngster was also won the Golden Boot award after an impressive performances at the sub-regional championship, where he notched five goals in five matches.
The Thought FC forward starred to guide the Black Satellites all the way to final, scoring in four of the five matches to underline his huge influence in the team.
His goals were crucial in the Black Satellites’ journey to the final, helping to secure their qualification for the 2025 CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations, where he will be a key player to watch.
