Ghana’s Black Stars have dropped three spots in the latest FIFA World Rankings released on Thursday, October 24, due to disappointing performances in their recent 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.
The Black Stars slipped from 70th to 73rd in the rankings after failing to secure a victory against Sudan in both of their encounters during the 2025 AFCON qualifiers.

The Black Stars, led by coach Otto Addo, faced Sudan in the qualifiers which they drew goalless in Accra and lost 2-0 in the return leg played in Libya.
In last month's rankings, Ghana dropped from 64th to 70th after suffering a 1-0 defeat to Angola at the Baba Yara Stadium before drawing 1-1 with Niger in Morocco on matchday two of the 2025 AFCON qualifiers.
