Ghana's senior national team, the Black Stars will play a friendly with Iceland in Laugardalsvellir, Iceland, on June 7, 2018 before the Icelanders travel to Russia for the World Cup.
This was announced by the Iceland Football Association on Friday, March 16, 2018.
"A team of men will play against Ghana at Laugardalsvellir on June 7, but the game is the last game of the team in preparation for World Cup 2018 in Russia", reported the official website of the Icelandic Federation.
The Black Stars failed to qualify for the World Cup in Russia and are poised to play friendly matches to better their rankings.
Ghana is currently ranked 54th in the World and 8th in Africa.
The Ghana Football Association are yet to confirm the game.

Iceland are one of the underdogs going into the World Cup, they reached the quarterfinal of the Euro 2016 and many have tipped them to go far in Russia.
