One of Ghana’s finest boxers, Emmanuel “Game Boy†Tagoe has received massive support from Chiefs at Bukom in Accra ahead of his IBO world title bout on November 25.
The chiefs during a tour at the area by the boxer, Â have predicted victory for the Ghanaian as he faces David Fernando Saucedo from Argentina.
The boxer and his team(Baby Jets Promotions) paid a courtesy call on the chiefs in Bukom(Ghana's boxing hub)Â to announce the bout and also seek for their support.
Nii Ayitey Koblah Tetteh III, Korle Wolomo was particularly certain of victory for Game Boy stating that, "there is no way the foreigner could survive the wrath of the talented boxer".
He added that, Ghana has produced World Champions over the years and November 25 would be another world title for the country.
"Tagoe is very serious boxer and we all support him with prayers as he goes into the ring to make Bukom and the entire country proud",he stated.
On his part, Numo Ogbame also a chief at Bukom added that, he would personally do everything possible to support the boxer win the bout.
"This world title which would be hosted in Ghana must stay here. I urge the management and supporters of Tagoe to continue rallying behind him and motivate him to victory", he added.
He also advised the boxer to maintain his focus and continue training for the task ahead adding that "do not get swollen-headed and over confident but just keep working hard and victory would be yours".
The boxer also visited Numo Akwoa Mensah III, his family elders and some other elders in the community who were full of praise for the boxer and optimistic of a victory.
Organizers also presented the belt to the chiefs who prayed over it and certain the Ghanaian would be the one to keep the belt at the end of the bout.
The bout would be held at the newly built boxing arena at Bukom but organizers have lined up several activities ahead of November 25 and the Argentine opponent is expected to arrive on November 15.
The boxer also pledged fireworks in the rings as he has trained very well and ready to give Ghanaians a memorable bout.
"I am ready to turn boxing around and people who have followed me over the years could confirm that I present something unique each time I mount the rings", he stated.
Organizers, Baby Jet Promotions are calling on all to come on board to support the boxer to victory.
