Asante Kotoko coach C.K. Akonnor has confirmed that speedster Emmanuel Gyamfi will miss Sunday's game against Sudanese Al Hilal in the CAF Confederation Cup.
According to Coach Akonnor, the diminutive winger will not be in contention for selection because of the injury he suffered in Kotoko's 3-0 win over Nkana.
Â
The 22-year-old was replaced by Kwame Boahene after registering his name on the score sheet for the Porcupine Warriors in the 23rd minute of the game.
Â
"I will get the report [on Emmanuel Gyamfi's injury] from the medical team tomorrow...But it doesn't look good" Coach Akonnor told OTEC FM
Â
"He will not be available for Al Hilal. I have other players to replace him in our next game against the Sudanese side".
Â
Gyamfi's injury is the latest to add to Kotoko players in the treatment room after Richard Senanu and Maxwell Baakoh.
Â
He has netted three (3) goals in his eight appearances for Asante Kotoko in their CAF Confederation Cup campaign so far.
