After Dani Alves-inspired Juventus to beat Monaco 2-1(4-1 on aggregate) to make it to the finals of the Champions league, nothing more could be expected, except a date with Real Madrid.

Madrid would take on Atletico Madrid tonight in the last semi-final game with a 3-0 advantage from the first leg. It would certainly take a miracle for Diego Simeone and his charges to overturn the scoreline.

The UEFA Champions League final would take center stage at the National Stadium of Wales in Cardiff. And fans are already looking forward to an exciting encounter between Real Madrid and Juventus.

The Old Lady has lost four successive Champions League finals (the most recent coming against Barcelona in 2015), and there is no doubt that Italy's biggest and most successful club have become European football's great under-achievers.

Only twice, in 1985 and 1996, have Juventus been crowned European champions, but they will travel to Cardiff for next month's final believing that they have grown and matured since the loss to Barca in Berlin two years ago.

They also have in the team, an outstanding player from Barcelona, Alves who seem to have the needed experience to urge the side towards victory.

Alves was superb and the creator turned scorer just before half-time when he thrashed a volley in from 25 yards after Subasic had failed to clear his lines with a punch in their game against Monaco.

Alves may collect 30th trophy in Rome on Sunday, with Serie A nearly in Juventus' hands, hoping to win to crown an impressive season with the champion’s league trophy.
