Ghana’s Minister for Youth and Sports, Isaac Kwame Asiamah has urged the Ghanaian athletes participating in the International Association of Athletics Federation (IAAF) World Championship being held in Doha to go and make the nation proud.
With the World Championship starting on Friday, September 27, the Sports Minister has sent his goodwill message to the Ghanaian contingent and has tasked them to win laurels for the nation.
He further called on the entire citizenry to render their support to the athletes as they bid to conquer the world.
The Ministry of Youth and Sports wishes the Ghanaian athletes participating in the International Association of Athletics Federation (IAAF) World Championship being held in Doha, Qatar well.
On behalf of Government and the people of Ghana, the Hon. Minister, Isaac Kwame Asiamah urges you to remain focus and avoid any complacency.
Also, as our ambassadors representing our nation Ghana, the values of patriotism, nationalism and dedication should spur you on to win laurels for the nation.
Once again, I appeal to Ghanaians wherever they are, to give you their unflinching support so you can conquer the world.
The Ghana Athletics Association has released a 10-member team ahead IAAF World Championships. The team features the African 4x100m relay gold medalists’ quartet of Sean Safo-Antwi, Benjamin Azamati, Martin Owusu-Antwi, Joseph Paul Amoah and reserve Edwin Kwabla Gadayi.
