Ghanaian defender, Edwin Gyimah has completed a move to Swedish club, Helsingborg after his contract was terminated by Orlando Pirates few months ago.

The Black Stars defender who has been criticized for receiving consistent call-ups into the national but never played any competitive game, has decided to move to Sweden in search of playing time and possibly receiving another call-up into the national team.

The 26-year-old on Monday signed a two-year deal with the Swedish second tier side following a one week successful trail.

Gyimah would be hoping to assist the club back to top-flight after they were relegated last season and also get the chance to revive his career.

The player was heavily criticized in the media especially for his inability to break into the first team of the Black Stars or become an important substitute but yet invited into the team.

He did not play any game at the recently held African Cup of Nations in Gabon after he was surprisingly named in the final 23 man squad.
