Elmina Sharks General Manager arrested for attacking referee after Division One League match

The Ghana Police Service has arrested an individual suspected to have played a role in the disturbances that took place in the Access Bank Division One league game between Swedru All Blacks and Elmina Sharks in Elmina.

The disturbances led to the physical attack of referee Eso Doh Morrison reportedly by some officials and players of Elmina Sharks after the game that had Sharks lose 1-0 to All Blacks.

Since the incident on Sunday, February 16 at the Ndoum Stadium, the Police has arrested Kelvin Aboagye as a suspect in connection with the attack.

Aboagye, doubles as the General Manager of Elmina Sharks, according to the release, is in Police custody and is assisting with investigations into the incident.
