Czech Republic v England (7:00pm)

What has already been decided?

England and the Czech Republic are guaranteed a place in the last 16 regardless of Tuesday's results.

Who needs what?

The Czech Republic will win the group if they avoid defeat against England, but will finish second if they lose and Scotland beat Croatia.

They will only finish third if they lose and Croatia win by enough to overtake them on overall goal difference.

England will finish top if they beat the Czech Republic. They will only finish third if they lose and Scotland win by enough to overtake them on overall goal difference.

Croatia have to win to be in with a shout of at least finishing third, although they can still overtake the Czechs for second place on overall goal difference.

Scotland must win to finish at least third, and can still overtake England for second place on overall goal difference.

Who might they face in the last 16?

The group winners face a potentially tough last-16 game against the runners-up in Group F (France, Portugal, Germany or Hungary) at Wembley on Tuesday, 29 June (4:00pm).

The runners-up will meet the runners-up in Group E (Spain, Sweden, Poland or Slovakia) in Copenhagen on Monday (4:00pm).

Should the third-placed side progress from Group D, they will take on either the Group C winners in Budapest on Sunday (4:00 pm), Belgium later the same day in Seville at 20:00 or the Group E winners in Glasgow on Tuesday (7:00pm).

Group E

Results:

Poland 1-2 Slovakia

Spain 0-0 Sweden

Sweden 1-0 Slovakia

Spain 1-1 Poland

Fixtures:

Wednesday, 23 June

Slovakia v Spain (4:00pm)

Sweden v Poland (4:00pm)

What has already been decided?

Sweden are through to the last 16 as, at worst, one of the best third-placed teams.

Who needs what?

Sweden have already qualified for the last 16. If they do lose to Poland and the other game is a draw, then Sweden, Slovakia and Poland will be split for first to third place on results between the three teams. If Sweden lose they finish third.

Slovakia will qualify if they beat Spain, or if they draw and Sweden avoid defeat.

Spain will go through if they beat Slovakia. If they draw they will finish third unless Poland win.

Poland will go through in second place if they win and the other game is not drawn.

If Slovakia, Sweden and Poland all finish on four points (ahead of Spain on three), they will be split on goal difference from matches between the three teams (the first two teams would be through, the third-placed team could also advance depending on the record of third-placed teams in other groups).

Who might they face in the last 16?

The group winners will take on either the third-placed side from Group A, B, C or D in Glasgow on Tuesday, 29 June at 7:00pm.

The runners-up face the runners-up in Group D (England, Scotland, Croatia or the Czech Republic) in Copenhagen on Monday at 4:00pm.

And if the third-placed team goes through, they will face either the Netherlands in Budapest on Sunday (4:00pm) or Belgium in Seville at 7:00pm the same day.

Group F

Results:

Hungary 0-3 Portugal

France 1-0 Germany

Hungary 1-1 France

Portugal 2-4 Germany

Fixtures:

Wednesday, 23 June

Germany v Hungary (7:00pm)

Portugal v France (7:00pm)

What has already been decided?

France have qualified and are through to the last 16 as at least one of the best third-placed teams.

Who needs what?

France will finish first if they win, or if they draw and Germany do not beat Hungary. If France lose and Hungary win, second place will be decided on overall goal difference.

Germany will go through if they win, or if they draw and France do not lose. Germany will finish first if they win and France do not. Germany will finish third if they draw and France lose, or if both Germany and Portugal lose.

Portugal qualify if they win, or if they draw and Germany lose. Portugal will finish first if they win and Germany do not. Portugal will finish fourth if they lose and Germany also lose.

Hungary will go through in second place if they win and Portugal lose. If they win and France lose, second place will be decided on overall goal difference. Hungary will finish third if they win and the other game is drawn.

Who might they face in the last 16?

The group winners will face whoever finishes third in either Group A, B or C in Bucharest at 20:00 on Monday, 28 June.

The runners-up face the winners of Group D (England, Scotland, Croatia or the Czech Republic) at Wembley on Tuesday (4:00pm).

Should the third-placed nation make it into the last 16, awaiting them will be a tie with either the Netherlands in Budapest on Sunday (4:00pm) or Belgium in Seville at 7:00pm the same day.

Which third-placed teams can qualify?

The four best third-placed teams on points and then goal difference go into the last 16.

Because Ukraine and Finland have three points and negative goal difference after all their games, it means any team who have a better record and finish third will go through.
