Former Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Samuel Akurugu has signed for Nigerian Premier League side Rivers United.
The shot-stopper put pen to papper on a two-year deal.
Akurugu joined the Phobians in the 2016/17 seasons from Sekondi Hasaacas but failed to establish himself as a first choice during his two-year stay with the club.
After a frustrating time with the Accra giants, the 22-year-old custodian terminated his contract with the club.

Akurugu will hope to capture this opportunity to regain his form after been inactive for sometime.
