Ghanaian attacker Frank Acheampong has departed the Black Stars camp ahead of their 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Kenya following an eye problem.

The Black Stars head coach, Kwesi Appiah granted permission to Frank Acheampong to leave the camp on Friday.

The 24-year-old will travel to Europe to seek eye treatment after complaining the situation was getting worse.

"I am aware he has an eye problem that was being managed but his condition did not improve and he had to fly to Europe to see his eye specialist, " Dr Adomako, Black Stars team doctor said.

Frank Acheampong has found the net 13 times in the Chinese Super League for Tianjin Teda.

Ghana will face the Harambee Stars of Kenya on today, September 8, 2018, in a 2019 African Cup of Nations qualifier in Nairobi at 1 pm.
