GFA Presidency: I will not pay a dime to any delegate to vote for me - Amanda Clinton

Ghana Football Association Presidential candidate, Lawyer Amanda Clinton has categorically stated, she will not financially influence delegates to vote her in the elections.

In an interview with Saddick Adams Obama on Accra-based Angel FM 102.9, Clinton said she was elated to have become the first female candidate to contest for the Ghana football high office but she will not go beyond convincing delegates with her policies.

According to the astute lawyer, she has evidence and reports of some candidates sharing money to the electorates in order to win power.

"I met a few delegates who confessed to me about other candidates who have been sharing money to them ", she revealed.

To her, winning the trust of the delegates is the deal and not buying your way to the top.

"I want to win the confidence of the delegates and corporate Ghana", she added

The only female candidate among the six (6) aspirants who successfully scaled past the vetting formalities also indicated she is yet to disclose her campaign team as a result of fear of poaching.

"I have a campaign team but I have not made it public to avoid being poached by other competitors"

Lawyer Amanda Clinton has become the first female in history to contest the top seat of the Ghana Football Association.

The Ghana Football Association elections will be held on October 25, 2019.

Amanda Clinton will vie for the top seat with Kurt Okraku, George Afriyie, Fred Pappoe, Nana Yaw Amponsah and George Ankoma Mensah.
