Match day 12 of the Ghana Premier league will go down this weekend across all league centres.
At the Accra Sports Stadium, Hearts of Oak will look to continue their impressive home record when they come up against 11th place Elmina Sharks. Hearts have had two wins on the bounds and are currently 5th on the league table just 5 points behind league leaders WAFA.
At the WA Park, Kumasi Asante Kotoko will be hoping for a quick turnaround in their fortunes after gaining only two points in their last four matches. Caretaker manager Godwin Ablodey will face a tough test against WA All Stars. Kotoko last Sunday terminated the contract of Croatian coach Zdravko Lugarusic after a draw with Dwarfs but face another huge test against the current league champions. All Stars are 7th on the league table having played a game less and Kotoko lie 3rd with 19 points.
League leaders WAFA will lock horns with Bolga All Stars at the Sogakope Park. WAFA have been in tremendous form since the Ghana Premier League begun and the sogakope based club has already been tugged as favourite to win this year’s league despite the season still young. WAFA are on top of the league with 23 points with Bolga All Stars lying 15th on the table just a point above Ashanti Gold who are bottom.
Aduana Stars will host Tema Youth at the Dormaa Park, Aduana are 2nd on the league table with 22 points and will look to continue their winning run after their last win against Great Olympics. Tema Youth have not been too good away from home and will look to break that duck against Aduana. Tema Youth are 8th on the table with 13 points.
Other matches coming up will see Inter Allies welcome bottom place Ashanti Gold to the El Wak Sports stadium, Medeama SC will also host Bechem United at the Tarkwa T&A Park, Ebusua Dwarfs will face Berekum Chelsea at Cape Coast and Liberty Professionals will play Great Olmypics at the Dansoman Carl Reindorf Park
