The two giants of Ghana football, Accra Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko, will face off in this year's President's Cup scheduled for the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday.
The event which is held every year to celebrate the President would see the two clubs battling it out in search of glory before President Nana Akufo-Addo.
Both teams have been inconsistent this season but the bragging rights among supporters would be in full flight as they engage each other on Sunday.
They follow each other closely on the league table, Hearts is placed third with 33 points while Kotoko are fourth with 32 points.
However on Sunday, it would be a battle for the giant trophy to be presented by President Nana Addo for the first time. The record as the first team to win the Cup in President Nana Addo's regime would be cherished by both teams.
Hearts have had the better of Kotoko this season after beating the Porcupine Warriors in the first leg of the Ghana @ 60 game and also defeating them in the first round of the Ghana Premier League.
Kotoko would be seeking revenge going into the game on home soil but Hearts would have different ideas as they are usually comfortable in Kumasi.
The Youth and Sports Minister, Isaac Asiamah this week, presented the trophy to Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia ahead of the clash.
The competition which began in 2003, is aimed at uniting the nation towards a common cause and also to honour the sitting President.
