Black Stars skipper Asamoah Gyan has responded to the comments of Prince Tagoe revealing he did not force the authorities to name him the captain of the team.
Asamoah Gyan's captaincy was questioned by former teammate of the Black Stars Prince Tagoe.
However, the all-time leading scorer of the Black Stars has debunked the submission of his former teammate, insisting that he never forced anyone to name him captain of the Black Stars.

"I want him (Prince Tagoe) to understand that I never forced anyone to name me the captain of the Black Stars." Asamoah Gyan told Angel FM.
"I didn't go to anyone, they decided to name me the captain in their own will. I Believe they saw my capabilities and decided to name me as the Black Stars captain.

Asamoah Gyan is likely to quit from international duties after the 2019Â AFCON in Cameroon according to reports.
