Isaac Dogboe has congratulated new IBF lightweight champion of the World Richard Commey for his victory against Isa Chaniev.
Commey knocked out his Russian Opponent in round 2 to claim the IBF title. His victory sets up a mandatory title challenge with WBA and WBO titleholder Vasiliy Lomachenko (12-1, 9 KOs) in a unification bout on April 12.
He becomes the 9th Ghanaian to win a title at the world stage. The others are David Kotey Poison, Azumah Nelson, Nana Yaw Konadu, Ike Quartey, Alfred Kotey, Joshua Clottey, Joseph Agbeko, Isaac Dogboe.
Isaac "Royal Storm" Dogboe who lost his WBO super bantamweight title last year December took to social media to and congratulated his fellow Ghanaian brother.
