Jordan hospitalized after complaining of stomach upset

Black Stars and Swansea City forward Jordan Ayew has been hospitalized after he complained of stomach ache prior to the Stars departure to Congo.

The striker who was expected to lead the Black Stars attack in the absence of Asamoah Gyan had to pull out due to the stomach upset on Monday.

The Black Stars are missing several key players like Asamoah Gyan, Andre Ayew and Harrison Afful who are all injured.

Ghana will take on Congo today in Brazzaville in a game that could increase or completely wipe off the chances of the Black Stars in their attempt to make it to the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

The first leg of this fixture ended 1-1 at the Baba Yara Stadium last Friday.

The game is scheduled to be played at 2:30pm around the time that  Egypt also takes on Uganda in Alexandria at 6:00 PM in the other group E game.
