FIFA has rejected Ajax’s request to sign Southampton winger Kamaldeen Sulemana on loan.
According to De Telegraaf, the Dutch giants submitted paperwork late, meaning Sulemana will not be moving to Amsterdam.
Ajax even allowed Steven Bergwijn to join Al-Ittihad, with the thought that Sulemana would be their replacement. Now, they’ve got a huge hole that needs filling on the wing.
Portuguese winger Carlos Forbs also left the Johan Cruyff Arena for Wolves on deadline day, which means the club have one left-winger available: Mika Godts.
Kamaldeen Sulemana was set to sign for Ajax on a season-long loan with the option to make it a permanent move. According to the Amsterdam club, documents were submitted ‘at the last minute,’ but the board were convinced that everything had gone to plan.
