Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of McDan Group of Companies, Daniel McKorley has presented an amount of GHC10, 000 to the Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) in support of this year’s SWAG Awards Night scheduled for Saturday, at the Banquet Hall of the State House.
Mr. McKorley praised SWAG for their effort in the development of sports and ensuring they set a day aside every year to honour sportsmen and women.
“SWAG is the backbone of Ghana Sports and I would continue to support them as long as they continue during the right thing,â€he stated.
He congratulated the new President of the Ghana Olympic Committee, Ben Nunoo Mensah for his appointment, adding that “this presents a new beginning for the GOC.â€
SWAG President, Kwabena Yeboah expressed appreciation to Mr. McKorley , revealing that a special award would be presented to him on Saturday.
“He has become synonymous to the promotion of tennis in the country and also supporting other associations in the country,â€
Kwabena Yeboah promised the sporting fraternity a great awards night on Saturday. President Nana Akufo-Addo is expected to grace the event.
