Head coach of Medeama SC Evans Adotey has praised his charges after a win against Bechem United over the weekend but thinks their main aim is to enter the top six before the first round of the Ghana Premier League ends.
The mauves defeated Bechem United 2-0 and the coach believes his team can end the first round on a strong note.
“ With four games to end the first round, it was important for us to carry the day because we knew a win would lift us and a defeat would have pushed us closer to relegation, so it was a done deal for us, we have three more games to end the first round so we are going to prepare for Ashanti Gold , Elmina Sharks and Bolga All Stars, if we are able to pick all 9 points then we would be in the top six by close of the first roundâ€.
Medeama SC are currently 11th on the league table with 14 points and will be hoping to better their fourth place finish in the Ghana Premier League last season.
