Medeama Sporting Club has unveiled their updated designs and plans for the redevelopment of the Tarkwa NA Aboso Park ahead of the ceremonial sod cutting today.
The 10,000 seater capacity stadium which will be fully covered, is estimated to cost $13 million and is being funded by Goldfields, Tarkwa-Damang.
A retractable roof will be added to the stadium in a bid to modernise and convert the stadium into an avant-garde architectural icon.
The revamped venue will also feature a complete seating capacity and involves redesigning the pitch, VIP, media stands, tickets boot, drainage amongst others.
Ghana’s sports minister Isaac Asiamah, Member of Parliament for Tarkwa-Nsuaem Mireku Duker, Vice president of Goldfields West Africa, Mr Alfred Baako, Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) Gilbert Asmah and Medeama president Moses Armah are among top officials expected to grace the mammoth occasion.
