Egypt and Liverpool forward Mohammed Salah has won the African Footballer of the Year Award for 2017.
The Ceremony was held on Thursday 4th January at the Accra International Conference Centre in Ghana.
The Egyptian beat off competition from his Liverpool teammate and Senegalese striker Sadio Mane who came 2nd and Gabon and Borussia Dortmund's Pierre Emerick Aubameyang who was 3rd.
Salah who had an impressive 2017 was influential for Italian Serie A side Roma before making a £34.3m move to Liverpool where he has taken the Premier League by storm.

His magnificent start to life in the English Premier League has seen him score 17 goals in the League and he won the BBC African Footballer of the Year 2017.
Salah is now the first Egyptian to win the CAF African Player of the Year award after former Egyptian playmaker Mohammed Aboutrika missed out on the award in 2008 to Emmanuel Adebayor.Â
