Former Argentina boss Diego Maradona says Jose Mourinho is better than Pep Guardiola.
Maradona, currently in charge of Mexican second division club Dorados believes the United boss is the best manager in the world. Guardiola led the Citizens to the Premier League title last season and the current campaign has seen his side in a good form and still unbeaten in the league.
His counterpart Mourinho has not won the league since joining Manchester United as the club has been struggling. City beat United 3-1 over the weekend at the Etihad Stadium but Maradona feels former Real Madrid, Chelsea, and Inter Milan manager is the world's best coach.
Speaking to Marca, Maradona said, "For me yes, Mou is the best. I would give Pep the merit of taking advantage of the launch that Johan Cruyff gave him. I have said on more than one occasion that tiki-taka was not invented by Guardiola. It was 'Flaco' Cruyff.
"At the moment Pep is able to choose any player in the world that he wants. That way tiki-taka is easier," he added.Â
