Ghana international Sulley Muntari made his Spanish La Liga debut for Deportivo La Coruna as they drew stalemate with Espanyol on Friday at Estadio Abanca-Raizor.
Muntari joined the club during the week after successfully undergoing a trial.
Deportivo are looking for their first win under new head Coach Clarence Seedorf.
They started the game brightly but failed to break the deadlock and the game ended 0-0 in the first half.
The script did not change after the recess as they continued their domination in the game, with striker Florin Andone wasting a gilt-edged chance in the 77th minute when he powered a close-range header against the crossbar.
With the game looking set to end in a draw, Seedorf introduced Ghanaian enforcer, Sulley Muntari in the 82nd minute to help push for a late winner, but they move did not yield as the former A.C Milan trainer would have wanted with the match ending in a barren draw.
