Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah says the successor to Ghana Football Association President Kwesi Nyantakyi needs to do more in order to improve the face of Ghana football.

Nyantakyi who is also the Vice President of CAF has been at the helm of Ghana Football since 2005.

He has confirmed that he will not contest the 2019 FA elections paving way for several football administrators to contest.

"It's very important to get an FA President who is very impressive in his dealings, at the moment I don't know who Nyantakyi will be leaving his post to, but nonetheless whoever assumes the post should do much better than Nyantakyi but Congress will have to decide," Appiah told Happy FM.

Nyantakyi's reign saw Ghana qualify for three consecutive World Cups but has failed to lift the Africa Cup of Nations.
