Asante Kotoko have progressed to the next stage of the CAF Confederations Cup after the game with Cameroon side Edding Sports was nullified.
The Kumasi-based club were set to face Cameroonian side Eding Sports in the first knockout stage of the 2018/2019 CAF Confederations Cup but the clash has been cancelled by CAF.
The Confederation of African Football called the game off the match as a result of the late submission of a club by the Federations of Cameroonian Football (FECAFOOT).

CAF statement reads"Matches #37&38 are cancelled, because the deadline for FECAFOOT to confirm the engagement of second rep. for Total CAF Confederation Cup has elapsed. Asante Kotoko is therefore qualified to the 1/16th round,".
The Porcupine Warriors will now face the winner of Arta Solar 7 and Kariobangi Sharks FCÂ in the next round after getting a walkover in the preliminary round.
