The Swiss crashed out tournament favourites France on penalties after a thrilling 3-3 last-16 draw on Monday, shortly after Spain outlasted Croatia in an eight-goal extra-time classic in Copenhagen.

Switzerland vs Spain is scheduled for a 4pm kick-off today - Friday, July 2, 2021.

Belgium and Italy clash in a heavyweight Euro 2020 showdown tonight for a place in the semi-finals after the Switzerland vs Spain battle.

Roberto Martinez's Group B winners saw off 2016 winners Portugal at the last-16 stage while the Azzurri, who also cruised through the groups, were given a scare by Austria before coming through in extra-time at Wembley.

The winner in Munich will face either Switzerland or Spain in the semi-finals.

The match will be held at the Allianz Arena in Munich.

Belgium coach Martinez says he will wait until the last minute to decide whether Kevin De Bruyne and Eden Hazard will play tonight.

De Bruyne rolled an ankle against Portugal and Hazard's hamstring troubles returned in the closing stages of that match. Dries Mertens and Yannick Carrasco would come in if the pair are not fit to start.

Italy are sweating over the fitness of captain Giorgio Chiellini, who has been nursing a calf injury. Otherwise, Roberto Mancini has a clean bill of health.
