Ghanaian defender Rashid Sumaila is set to sign for Serbian giants Red Star Belgrade from Qadsia SC.
Sumaila 25, has arrived in Serbia to complete his first European move.
The defender is being chased by the ambitious Serbian side as a replacement for his compatriot centre-back Abraham Frimpong who left the club last week to join Hungarian giants Ferencvaros.
Rashid Sumaila will have a big opportunity of playing in the UEFA Champions League should he complete the move.
The centre-back will meet with the leaders at the "Marakana" before taking medical examinations and most likely sign a two-year contract.
He played last season in Qatar with Al Garafa also on loan.
Sumaila won the 2011 Ghana Best Defender Award at the end of the 2010–11 Glo Premier League season.
