England beat Colombia 4-3 on penalties to progress to the quarterfinals of the Russia 2018 World Cup.
This first half of this game was probably one of the most boring in the tournament.
Both teams were cautious in their approaches and did not want to commit too many men forward.
Few half chances fell to both sides but nothing came out of it as it ended 0-0.
Second half was a bit rugged as well as tempers went up. The referee had to step in to calm things down.
England's moment came in the 54th minute when Carlos Sanchez was penalised for bringing down Harry Kane.
Harry Kane stepped up and scored his sixth goal of the tournament in the 57th minute.
Despite Colombia throwing everything at the English for the equalizer and scored in added time.
Yerry Mina jumped highest and sent a header past Pickford to make it 1-1.
Extra time produced no goals and had to be decided on penalty kicks.
Colombia missed two of their five spot kicks as England scored four to win 4-3.
This is the first time England have won a penalty shootout in the World Cup after three previous attempts.
