Senegal have been knocked out of the Russia 2018 World Cup after losing 1-0 to Colombia.
Senegal needed a draw to progress to the next stage but they were undone by a late Colombia goal.
Senegal started as the better of the two sides and created some decent half chances but failed to hit the back of the net.
The Colombians looked very jittery and Senegal were awarded a penalty in the 17th minute only for VAR to overturn the decision.The first half ended barren.
Colombia started with a bit more urgency in the second period but had to wait till the 74th minute.
Yerry Mina outjumped the Senegal defence inside the six-yard box to meet a corner and scored with a great header into the right side of the goal.
The keeper had no chance to react and it was 1-0 to Colombia.
The West Africans searched for the equalizer but Colombia held on to the 1-0 lead.

Colombia qualifies from the group alongside Japan who also lost 1-0 to Poland but have progressed at the expense of Senegal on fair play.
