Sweden began their Russia 2018 World Cup with a win as they beat South Korea 1-0 in the second Group F game.

The game ended 0-0 in the first half as chances were few for both sides.
It was in the second half that Sweden came to live as in the 61st minute.
A desperate tackle by the South Korea substitute Kim Min-woo in the penalty box on Sweden's Claesson resulted in a controversy which was resolved by VAR.
The referee awarded a penalty to Sweden which Sweden captain Andreas Granqvist scored in the 65th minute.
Sweden held on as they won 1-0.
