Former Berekum Chelsea striker, Stephen Sarfo has revealed he would relish the chance to play for the black stars should he receive a call-up by head coach Kwesi Appiah.

Stephen Sarfo, who has been one of the best strikers in the country over the year is hopeful he receives a call-up to serve Ghana.

Speaking exclusively to primenewsghana, He said,"Is my performance that will warrant a call-up. He can call me, why not?

"I believe in him". "He is ready to grant every player the opportunity irrespective of the team, if your performance pleases him, he will grant you a call-up to serve Ghana."

Stephen Sarfo has struggled to find his feet at his club, Egyptian side Smouha SC since his transfer last year.

He stated that his absence for the pre-season has adversely affected his form, he continued by stating the what he intends to do to rediscover his form.

"I wasn't able to train with the team during pre-season because their league was ongoing. But next season, I will have pre-season with the team to build a good teamwork."

"If you join teams during the second round, you are going to play differently because they have already built their team, is just time for you to fight for your place."

"So what I will say is that if I train with the team during pre-season, I believe everything will go on well for me."

"Stephen Sarfo went to urge authorities with regards to the local league to package the league and make it attractive enough because that is the only aspect that differentiates the local league from the Egyptian league".

"The difference is that the Egyptian league has been packaged."Although, we have the talent and quality(Ghana) much more but the manner in which their league(Egypt) is being packaged put them in a state of ascendency over our league.

"So if we are able to package our league a little bit, their league won't be compared to ours"

Sarfo had a stellar season in Ghana after winning the golden boot at the 2017 WAFU and also scoring 13 goals in the Ghana Premier League for Berekum Chelsea.
