Samuel Takyi's hopes of winning a gold medal at the ongoing Tokyo 2020 Olympics was dashed on Tuesday after losing his semifinal fight.
The 20-year-old Ghanaian found Duke Regan a difficult opponent to overcome as he lost by a spilt decision in their featherweight fight.
The judges awarded a 4-1 victory to the USA boxer who has made the final ahead of the Ghanaian.
However, Takyi for reaching the semi-final has won a bronze medal for Ghana for the first time in 29years.
