The Confederation of African Football, CAF for the first time yesterday introduced the Video Assistance Referee in a CHAN game between Morocco and Guinea.
The game ended 3-1 in favour of Morocco in Casablanca.
With numerous calls from some football fans for the technology to be used to assist referees, it was used at the FIFA Confederations Cup and is now being used in the Bundesliga and Serie A.

CAF who intend to improve officiating on the continent successfully tested the technology and would hope to implement it in major tournaments.
